Chess: Carlsen increases lead while Niemann is involved in new controversy

The Norwegian, 32, follows up his World Cup victory in Baku by winning the latest leg of the online ChampionsTour, while the former world champion Vladimir Kramnik is displeased at losing to NiemannMagnus Carlsen kept up his current winning run last weekend by taking the $30,000 first prize in the Julius Baer Generation Cup, his third victory on the $2m Champions Tour which ends at Toronto in December.
